Pastoral and Town Directory 1891

In 1891, the Western Champion listed the Pastoral and Town Directory for the greater Barcaldine area in its ‘1891 Almanac‘. It provides a valuable record of the towns and the vast number of stations/properties they serviced at that time. There has been a lot of change since then – many properties being subsumed into others, and many impacted by the shift from sheep to cattle production.
